Prevent Blindness America Gives Symptoms Of Diabetic Eye Disease
(St. Louis, MO) -- November is "Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month" and officials with Prevent Blindness America want to raise awareness about this disease. More than 23-million Americans are suffering from diabetes, which is also a leading cause of blindness in the United States. Spokesperson Sara Hecker explains what symptoms to watch out for. There's no cure for diabetic eye disease, and experts say it's important for everyone to see their eye doctor regularly regardless of whether they're experiencing any symptoms. Early diagnosis can help slow the progression of damage caused by the disease.
