Obama Remains Confident In Healthcare Passage
(Strongsville, OH) -- President Obama remains steadfast in his belief Congress will pass a sweeping reform of health insurance coverage. In an interview on ABC's "World News," the President said, quote, "we're going to make this happen." Democrats in the U.S. House remain short by a handful of votes needed to pass the legislation. They face unanimous Republican opposition and are also being blocked by moderate and conservative Democrats. Obama is pushing the House to pass the reform by the end of the week, ahead of a now-delayed trip he's taking to Indonesia and Australia. |
