Raquel's Recalls Hummus Products Over Bacteria Scare
(San Francisco, CA) -- San Francisco-based Quong Hop and Company are recalling hummus products over possible bacteria contamination. The company's Raquel brand salads, sandwiches, wraps and other foods may contain Listeria monocytogenes. The hummus-based pre-packaged products are distributed to retailers in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. All products with dates of September 23rd, 2010 and August 3rd, 2010 or prior are included in the recall. State public health officials say Listeria was found at a Quong Hop processing plant. Nausea, diarrhea, headache, and fever are all Listeria symptoms.< |
